Meirav Meidan – Commitment to Remembrance and Education in the Hechingen Synagogue
As part of her Network Israel fellowship, Meirav Meidan dedicated herself to the work of the Old Synagogue in Hechingen. Together with the local initiative, she revised the exhibition on Jewish history and led workshops on the current situation in Israel and about antisemitism.
The initiative ” Menschen helfen!” by the newspaper Tagesspiegel supports Netzwerk Israel.
Netzwerk Israel thanks the readers and editorial team of Tagesspiegel for their support. The fundraising campaign provides €2,000 each to support AMCHA’s work with Holocaust survivors, Tzedek Centers’ efforts in communities under attack, and the dialogue project "Football for Peace".
Tzedek Centers: Emergency Relief and Empowerment for Russian-Speaking Communities
Immediately after the terrorist attacks of October 7, the team from Tzedek Centers provided aid to mostly elderly, Russian-speaking individuals who had remained in targeted cities such as Sderot and Netivot. Today, the team led by Sasha Mijeritsky is focused on the long-term empowerment of Russian-speaking immigrants to Israel.
