Fußball für Frieden – Camp für jüdischen und arabischen Jugendlichen
Das Football for Peace Camp bringt jüdische und arabische Jugendliche in Israel über ihre gemeinsame Leidenschaft für Fußball zusammen. Im Rahmen des Projekts finden nicht nur gemeinsame Fußballspiele und Trainings statt, sondern auch Workshops und strukturierte Teambuilding-Aktivitäten, die Vorurteile abbauen und den Zusammenhalt fördern sollen.
Organisiert und begleitet wird das Projekt von der jüdisch-palästinensischen Bildungsstätte Givat Haviva, die zwischen den Regionen Wadi Ara und Emek Hefer liegt – an der Schnittstelle jüdischer und arabischer Gemeinden, die trotz geografischer Nähe oft in getrennten Lebenswelten existieren.

Diese bereits bestehende Spaltung wurde durch den 7. Oktober 2023 weiter vertieft. Angst, Misstrauen und Feindseligkeit zwischen jüdischen und arabischen Staatsbürger:innen Israels sind gewachsen. Besonders junge Generationen sind davon betroffen. Gerade deshalb ist Dialog und Austausch heute wichtig, um Brücken zu bauen.
Givat Haviva gehört zu den führenden Bildungsstätten in Israel, die sich für eine Shared Society einsetzen und nutzt Sport gezielt als verbindende Kraft.
Das Projekt Football for Peace ermöglicht 20 Jugendlichen im Alter von 13 bis 14 Jahren eine Erfahrung der Zusammenarbeit und Freundschaft über kulturelle und ethnische Grenzen hinweg, zunächst im Rahmen eines dreitägigen Sommercamps in Israel und anschließend bei einem internationalen Turnier in Deutschland.
Auch die Eltern werden aktiv in das Projekt eingebunden, sie erhalten ein begleitendes Seminar, das ihnen eine Plattform für Dialog bietet und ihnen Einblicke in die Grundsätze einer Shared Society vermittelt. Zudem erhalten sie Strategien, um ihre Kinder in diesem Austausch zu unterstützen.
Football for Peace schafft Begegnung – und stärkt junge Menschen darin, Vorurteile zu hinterfragen und Vertrauen aufzubauen. Es liegt uns am Herzen, dieses wertvolle Projekt zu unterstützen.
